The
tournaments will be held on the following dates at Bramhall Sports Centre. The
format has changed slightly with all the preliminary games to be played on
Sunday March 9th, with the semis and finals to be on Sunday March 16th.
The actual start time will depend on the entry received, but will be from late
afternoon to evening.
There
are also 3 new events for senior players (designated as over 60). The proposed
events are mens, ladies and mixed doubles.

SEMI-FINALS
AND FINALS
The semi-finals and finals of all events will be played at Bramhall on
Sunday March 16th, starting at 4.00pm.
ENTRY
FEES
Entries must be accompanied by the correct fees (£5.00 per person per
event). Cheques should be made payable to ‘Stockport Badminton League’.
SHUTTLES
Inflight (Jobi International) have provided all the shuttles to be used
free of charge. My thanks go to Jobi for their generosity.
PROGRAMMES
Each club entering and anybody providing an email address will be
supplied with one programme. Paper programmes can be purchased at a cost of 50p
each.
VETERAN
EVENTS
Competitors in these events must have been aged 40 or over on September 1st
2007.
SENIOR
EVENTS
Competitors in these events must have been aged 60 or over on September 1st
2007.
FAMILY
MIXED
This
tournament is restricted to close relatives, ie, husband/wife, brother/sister,
father/daughter or mother/son.
PAINE
PLATE
All pairs who lose their first match in the Handicap Mixed Doubles are
eligible to enter the Paine Plate.
COMPETITION
RULES

Handbook.
CLOSING
DATE
Entry forms together with the correct fees must be returned to the
Tournament Secretary at the above address not later than Thursday 21st
February. No entries will be accepted after this date.
TROPHIES
Club Secretaries are reminded that
all trophies, divisional and tournament are due for return to me by finals day
– late return could mean your club being fined!
